The Embroiderers’ Guild was founded in London in 1906. You can find a fuller history of the Guild at the Embroiderers’ Guild.

The Bristol branch was founded in 1981 and has over 60 members. We meet once a month, usually on a Friday, at All Saints’ Church Hall, Alma Vale Road, Clifton, Bristol at 7.30 P.M. We have a speaker to most of our meetings. We also have workshops on several Saturdays during the year. Meet and stitch meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month. We also hold a biennial exhibition.
